PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between TikaKiyo Yoshiki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Norse Horse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). TikaKiyo Yoshiki looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, TikaKiyo Yoshiki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Norse Horse!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Sosuke Kotani and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horse tries to clinch there but Yoshiki circles away.
Horse shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Yoshiki counters with a straight right hand.
Yoshiki is looking to clinch.
Yoshiki swats away the attempt to clinch by Horse.
Yoshiki fails with a takedown attempt.

Horse instigates a clinch.

Horse is trying to trip Yoshiki. He has hold of a leg but Yoshiki is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Horse persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Horse is looking to work some ground and pound but Yoshiki has wrist control.

Horse throws a strike but Yoshiki rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Horse manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Yoshiki wants to hold on but Horse pushes him away.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Horse working his ground and pound in the gym.
The referee warns Yoshiki that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Horse throwing strikes here but Yoshiki is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
A nice elbow there by Horse.
Yoshiki tries to hold on but Horse pushes him away.

Norse Horse showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Horse stands up over Yoshiki, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Horse wants to control from the top but Yoshiki keeps moving.

Horse throws an elbow that misses. Yoshiki uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Horse's guard. Nice move by Yoshiki!

Yoshiki is looking to stand up but Horse won't let him.

Horse working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Yoshiki doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Yoshiki manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Yoshiki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Horse swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Norse Horse is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Yoshiki is looking to work some ground and pound but Horse has wrist control.
Horse trying to keep a closed guard but Yoshiki is proving a slippery customer.

Norse Horse comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Horse has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
