Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Staph Aureus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ultimate Warrior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Warrior has chosen Ultimate Warrior Entrance as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Staph Aureus has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aureus misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Warrior tries a head kick but it misses.

Warrior fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Aureus sprawls well initially but Warrior persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Aureus wants to improve his position but Warrior is controlling well.
Warrior performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Aureus is pressing down on Warrior's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Aureus escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Warrior gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Aureus looking for a guillotine here but Warrior defends easily.

Warrior working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Warrior working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Aureus's head.

It looks like Staph Aureus has been cut.
Warrior has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Warrior wants to control from the top but Aureus keeps moving.
Warrior has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Aureus is proving hard to escape from.

Warrior decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Aureus, up you get!
We've been hearing reports that Aureus has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Aureus misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Warrior.

Warrior tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Warrior has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Warrior circles away from the clinch attempt.
Aureus tries to clinch up.
Aureus blocks a head kick by Warrior.

Warrior bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Aureus is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Warrior is looking to take a break and control but Aureus is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Aureus is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Warrior pulls his head out easily.

Aureus manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Aureus unloads a knee to the mid-section. Warrior lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Warrior wants to get back to striking at distance but Aureus won't allow it.

Warrior controlling the position well.

Warrior tries to get to full guard but Aureus has control of the leg.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Warrior lands with a kick to the temple. Aureus shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Warrior ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Warrior clinches up against the cage.
Warrior is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Aureus is keeping busy.
Warrior is trying to force a seperation but Aureus has the dominant position.
Aureus misses with a hook to the ribs.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Aureus comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Warrior with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Warrior tries to break free but Aureus pushes him back against the cage.
Warrior has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Warrior stalling in the clinch but Aureus improves position.
Warrior prevents the takedown attempt.
Warrior prevents a body shot from Aureus.
Warrior tries to circle away but Aureus has him pinned against the cage.
Warrior blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Aureus landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Warrior misses with a punch on the inside.
Warrior is pressed up against the cage. Aureus has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Warrior down to the mat. Warrior avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Warrior.
Aureus shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Warrior sprawls well. Warrior wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Aureus gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Staph Aureus. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Aureus slaps away a takedown attempt from Warrior, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Aureus drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Warrior is trying to control Aureus's posture but Aureus avoids it.
Warrior tries to buck Aureus off but Aureus is having none of it.

Warrior is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

Staph Aureus's cut is getting worse.
Aureus tries to escape but Warrior has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Warrior just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Aureus is trying to remain composed but Warrior is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.

Staph Aureus's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Staph Aureus's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Ultimate Warrior!
Ultimate Warrior decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
Staph Aureus spoke after the fight, saying 'You win some you lose some . I'll be back, dont worry about it !'.
