Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Ripgut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Styles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Styles has chosen Good Times as his entrance music. Shane Ripgut had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane Ripgut!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, David Styles!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Franklyn Lucas and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ripgut stuffs the takedown attempt from Styles. Styles gets slowly back to his feet.

David Styles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Styles shoots for a double leg takedown but Ripgut sprawls well. He's pushed Styles's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Styles shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Styles shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Styles showed some decent athleticism there.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Styles closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Styles lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Ripgut! Styles sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Ripgut and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
