Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Yukio Vorarlberna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Slyck Kira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kira has chosen Prehistoric Dog by Red Fang as his entrance music. Yukio Vorarlberna has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yukio Vorarlberna!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Darius Henderson and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kira shoots in and gets a takedown into Vorarlberna's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Kira is looking to work some ground and pound but Vorarlberna has wrist control.
Kira has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Kira drops back looking for a leg! Vorarlberna is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Vorarlberna manages to kick Kira off! Kira jumps back into Vorarlberna's guard.

Vorarlberna got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kira has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vorarlberna has managed to get both his arms back between Kira's legs - danger averted.

Kira is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Kira throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kira makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kira.

Kira drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kira jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Kira comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Vorarlberna rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kira moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Kira manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Vorarlberna on his heels. He'll look to pass Vorarlberna's guard now, I'm sure.

Kira postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Vorarlberna is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kira, into his guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Yukio Vorarlberna will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
