PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sung Kang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maxmylyan Myles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kang comes into the arena with Tarzan Boy by Baltimora blaring out of the sound system. Myles has chosen i can trance form ya as his entrance music. Sung Kang has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sung Kang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Maxmylyan Myles!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Sosuke Kotani and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kang wants to clinch.
A solid leg kick lands there for Myles.

Kang has taken the fight to the clinch.

Kang breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Kang clinches up against the cage.
Myles tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kang smiles and moves away.
Myles changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kang tries to avoid it but Myles manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kang to the ground. Kang escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kang tries to close the distance and clinch up but Myles swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kang tries to clinch there but Myles circles away.
Kang feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Myles's calf.
Myles moves out of range as Kang throws a body kick.
Kang fails with an attempt to clinch.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Myles has eaten all the pies!
Myles shoots for a double leg takedown but Kang sprawls well. He's pushed Myles's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Sung Kang has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maxmylyan Myles.
Kang lands the left hand.

It looks like Maxmylyan Myles has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kang pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kang looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Kang drops Myles with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Myles looks back up at him and smiles so Kang waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Myles is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Myles shoots in for a takedown but Kang shows good takedown defense.
Myles is still on wobbly legs! Can Kang finish him?
Kang ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Myles's jaw. Myles's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Kang does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sung Kang!
