PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Addison Deersworth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Conway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Deersworth comes to the cage accompanied by Warrior's Call by Volbeat. Conway has chosen Money in The Bank as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Addison Deersworth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Conway!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conway stuns Deersworth with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Deersworth feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Deersworth might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Addison Deersworth will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Deersworth is trying to trip Conway. He has hold of a leg but Conway is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Deersworth persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Deersworth rushes Conway and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Conway has Deersworth pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Conway pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Deersworth tumbling to the mat - Conway dives into Deersworth's guard.

Deersworth lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Addison Deersworth is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Conway takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Deersworth creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Conway sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Deersworth, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
