The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Higashikuni looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Higashikuni throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ramirez throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Higashikuni throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ramirez on the side of the head.
Ricardo Ramirez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ramirez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Higashikuni cracks the inside of Ramirez's front leg.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Ramirez has his feet on Higashikuni's thighs here. He's pushed Higashikuni off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Higashikuni screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
