PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Hoggets (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Light (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Light has chosen Kasabian - Club Foot as his entrance music. Luke Light will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Donatello Bradman and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoggets takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Light will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Light throws a chopping leg kick but Hoggets manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
We've been told by Hoggets's head coaches at Hate Made Me Asylum that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Hoggets with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Light to score with a decent uppercut.
A right-left combo lands from Light.
Hoggets throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hoggets looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Light's coach down at Madz was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Light's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Hoggets is rocked!

It looks like Frankie Hoggets has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Light lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Oh Hoggets is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Light cracks Hoggets with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Hoggets looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Light finish him?

Hoggets wants to take the fight to the mat but Light manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Hoggets postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Light looks a forlorn figure.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hoggets is defended easily by Light.
