The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Derkuzniak takes a kick to the side of the head.
Derkuzniak tries to close the distance and clinch up but Koljatti swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Derkuzniak tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Koljatti drops Derkuzniak with a beautiful combination! Derkuzniak stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Koljatti is looking for the KO!
Derkuzniak is rocked!
It looks like Peter Derkuzniak has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Derkuzniak throws a half hearted mid kick.
Koljatti tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Derkuzniak shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Koljatti sprawls well. Koljatti wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Derkuzniak gets slowly back to his feet.
Koljatti throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Koljatti throws a head kick but Derkuzniak moves out of range.
Koljatti wants to clinch up but Derkuzniak keeps it at a distance.
Koljatti scores with a jab to the jaw.
Derkuzniak shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Derkuzniak would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Derkuzniak won't allow Koljatti to sweep him here.

Derkuzniak loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Derkuzniak stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Koljatti swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Derkuzniak tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Koljatti swivels and escapes.
Derkuzniak shoots in but Koljatti avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kullervo Koljatti has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Derkuzniak.

Koljatti lands a big head kick that sends Derkuzniak tumbling to the mat! Koljatti takes a step backwards and waves Derkuzniak back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Derkuzniak is still on wobbly legs! Can Koljatti finish him?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A nice inside leg kick there by Koljatti. That's going to slow Derkuzniak down.
Derkuzniak looks winded!
Koljatti is stalking Derkuzniak. Derkuzniak circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Koljatti, and it's lights out! Derkuzniak really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
