Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferguson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Castro's waist but Castro gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ferguson off to one side.
Castro tries to clinch but Ferguson moves away
and Ferguson counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Castro thinking.

Ferguson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Castro is looking to regain half guard here but Ferguson keeps moving and retains side control.
Castro stops Ferguson from passing to mount.
Ferguson is trying to ground and pound but Castro uses the momentary lack of control by Ferguson to regain half guard.
Castro is looking to escape.
Ferguson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Castro is looking for a sweep. Ferguson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Ferguson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Castro knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Castro preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Castro kicks Ferguson off and gets back to his feet.

Ferguson rushes Castro and presses him up against the cage.
Castro is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Ferguson is defending well for now.

Ferguson is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Castro creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Castro is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ferguson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Castro is bucking up trying to escape but Ferguson cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Ferguson cracks Castro with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Castro is rocked!
Ferguson lands a big shot to the head and Castro winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!

A less than humble bj Ferguson misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
Joe Castro spoke after the fight, saying 'I did what i could but nothing happend is all'.
