The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fairtex stuffs the takedown.
Gradnje fails to land the takedown.
Fairtex throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Gradnje stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Fairtex seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Gradnje misses with a takedown
and Fairtex counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Nissan Fairtex has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Investitor Gradnje.
Gradnje looks to clinch
enabling Fairtex to counter with a crisp jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gradnje closes the distance and clinches up with Fairtex, looking for a takedown. Gradnje pushes Fairtex against the cage but Fairtex circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Gradnje tries to clinch but Fairtex moves out of range.

and Fairtex counters with a nice right hand that sends Gradnje toppling to the canvas! Gradnje scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Fairtex finish him?!

It looks like Investitor Gradnje has been cut.
Fairtex jabs Gradnje to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Investitor Gradnje seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gradnje looks winded!
Gradnje with a poor takedown
and Fairtex counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Gradnje badly! Fairtex follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Gradnje out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Fairtex finished him against the cage.
