The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caro throws a right hand that misses
and Cuban counters with a single leg into guard. Caro didn't expect that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cuban wants to pass the guard but Caro is keeping the position.
Cuban is working hard here to advance position.
Cuban is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Caro has momentary wrist control but Cuban slips an elbow through the middle.
Caro looking for a guillotine here but Cuban defends easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cuban postures up in Caro's guard and throws a big left but Caro blocks it.
Caro is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Cuban wants to pass the guard but Caro is keeping the position.
Cuban content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cuban in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Cuban postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Caro working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cuban doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Caro is tightening it up a little... Cuban has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Cuban reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Cuban taps out! Nice BJJ there by Caro!
