Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Cote (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donnie Datsik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cote circles away from the clinch attempt.

Datsik throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cote was covering up waiting for the punch and Datsik finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Cote is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Datsik really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cote. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cote bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Datsik's guard.
Datsik looking to control.
Datsik wants to get back to his feet but Cote is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Cote is fighting to break Datsik's control of his arms but Datsik is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Cote pushes down on Datsik's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Cote lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Cote lands a nice short elbow.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Datsik can do anything to dispel that myth.
