The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valchenko avoids a punch combination nicely.
Valchenko shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Valchenko shoots in for a double leg but Griffin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Griffin throws a leg kick which misses Valchenko's front leg but catches the back leg as Valchenko tries to avoid it.

Griffin connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Valchenko to the floor! Griffin dives in looking for the finish!

Griffin lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Valchenko quite badly. Valchenko pulls Griffin in close trying to recover. Griffin postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Valchenko on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Valchenko doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
