Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shioon looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Wardrop!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Shioon trying to control the action but Wardrop is working from the bottom.
Shioon blocks the strikes from Wardrop.

Shioon stands up.
Shioon closes the distance and clinches up with Wardrop, looking for a takedown. Shioon pushes Wardrop against the cage but Wardrop circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Wardrop moves into range and clinches up with Shioon.
Shioon is pressed up against the cage. Wardrop has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Shioon down to the mat. Shioon avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Wardrop fails with the takedown.
Shioon shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wardrop as he avoids it easily.

Wardrop drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Shioon is trying to work for a sweep but Wardrop has mounted him!

Shioon tries to hold on but Wardrop postures up.

Wardrop working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Shioon looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Wardrop! Submission of the night perhaps?
