Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lance Fanger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kurt Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liddell has chosen Just Another Victim by Helmet & House of Pain as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lance Fanger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kurt Liddell!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddell looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Fanger fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Liddell shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Liddell showed some decent athleticism there.
Liddell is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Liddell stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fanger swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Fanger bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Liddell's guard.

Fanger drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fanger jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Liddell looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Fanger with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Lance Fanger will probably get the nod.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Liddell is thwarting Fanger's attempts to control the position.
Fanger is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Liddell's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Liddell's back!
Fanger is trying to stick to Liddell's back but Liddell is turning into Fanger. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Fanger's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Liddell.

Liddell postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Fanger is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Liddell, into his guard.

Kurt Liddell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Liddell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
