Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Campbell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and August Spies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Campbell is looking to clinch but Spies is avoiding it.
Campbell tries to close the distance and clinch up but Spies swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Campbell misses the shot to the body.

Campbell shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Spies as he avoids it easily.
Spies throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Campbell's waist but Campbell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Spies off to one side.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Horrible takedown by Campbell or perhaps it was just good defense by Spies which made him look bad.

Spies feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
