Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Oliveira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lamichael Christopher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveira doesn't manage to clinch there - Christopher circles away.
Christopher looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Oliveira wants to sweep but no luck.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Christopher's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Christopher stops Oliveira from standing up.
Christopher wants to stand but Oliveira is controlling his posture from full guard.
Christopher drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Oliveira dives on top into guard.
Oliveira not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Oliveira trying to stand up but can't free himself from Christopher's guard.

Oliveira throws a big right hand that misses.
Oliveira trying to control but Christopher is working from the bottom.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Oliveira motions for Christopher to come forward. Oliveira throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Christopher drives through with a takedown into guard.
Oliveira is breathing heavily.
Christopher controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Christopher is looking to work some ground and pound but Oliveira has wrist control.

Oliveira has his foot on Christopher's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Christopher works his way back into a safe position though.
Christopher is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Christopher throws a big right hand that misses.
Christopher thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Lamichael Christopher.
Christopher closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Christopher performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Christopher is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Oliveira!
Christopher has hold of Oliveira's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Oliveira manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Oliveira wants to control but Christopher is having none of it.
Christopher is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Oliveira can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Oliveira is desperately trying to improve his position but Christopher has a good base and remains in mount.
Oliveira wants to control but Christopher is having none of it.

Christopher really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Oliveira. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Christopher has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Oliveira's face.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Oliveira wants to control but Christopher is having none of it.
Christopher is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Oliveira has managed to escape the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lamichael Christopher dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Oliveira on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Christopher. Christopher obviously looking to wear him down.
Oliveira shoots in but Christopher avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Christopher manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Oliveira on his heels. He'll look to pass Oliveira's guard now, I'm sure.

Christopher won't allow Oliveira to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Lamichael Christopher hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Christopher.
Christopher decides to stand back up. Christopher steps back and let's Oliveira get back to his feet.
Christopher decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Christopher is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Christopher perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Christopher maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Oliveira could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Christopher has cracked it and Oliveira is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Christopher!
