Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Heino Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Finn Bertelsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bertelsen tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Green moves into the clinch.

Green lands a takedown into guard.
Green is looking to work some ground and pound but Bertelsen has wrist control.
Green's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Bertelsen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Green. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Green drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Green jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Bertelsen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Green stands and steps away. Bertelsen gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Green tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bertelsen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Green somewhat.

Bertelsen tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Green just stands there and leans against the cage.

Green jumps guard and drags Bertelsen to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Green is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Green is taking a breather. Bertelsen says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Heino Green wasn't doing enough on the ground.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Green.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Green shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bertelsen as he avoids it easily.

Green throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bertelsen sees it coming and avoids it easily.
