Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kris Kendell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Skin Bone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Skin Bone is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kris Kendell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Skin Bone!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Jeff Smith and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kendell forces Bone back against the cage and clinches.
Bone looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Kendell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Kendell instigates a clinch.
Kendell holding his opponent close, against the cage.

Bone has clasped his hands together around Kendell's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Kendell is trying to buck Bone off.
Kendell keeps Bone under control for a moment.
Kendell is trying to get back to half guard.
Kendell holding on.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kendell is looking to reverse the position.

Kendell throws Bone to one side and escapes!
Kendell will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Kendell dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Kendell closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bone circles away.
Kendell scores with a punch to the head.

Kendell has Bone up against the cage in a clinch.
Kendell wants a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kris Kendell. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kendell pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Bone gets tackled into the cage by Kendell. Kendell maintains the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Kendell decides to pull guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bone stopping the sweep attempt from Kendell.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bone being controlled here momentarily.

Kendell escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bone gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bone stands up from Kendell's guard - Bone perhaps looking for a knockout.
Kris Kendell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Kendell rushes Bone and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Kendell scores with a nice hook to the head.
Good body shot from Kendell.
Kendell lands a hook to the side of the head.

Kendell manages to break the clinch.

Kendell moves into range and clinches up with Bone.

Kendell manages to break the clinch.
Kendell throws a low kick but Bone moves out of range easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kendell tries for a takedown but Bone sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Kendell shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Bone eats them both and turns towards Kendell to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Kendell moves into range and clinches up with Bone.

Kendell breaks the clinch.
Kendell thuds a left hand into Bone's body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kendell misses with a body kick.
Kendell works the jab nicely.
Kendell throws a shot to the body.
Kendell fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bone avoids it really well and circles away.
Kendell throws a leg kick but Bone sees it coming and moves out of range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kendell finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kris Kendell dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Kendell instigates a clinch.

Kendell's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kendell changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bone tries to avoid it but Kendell manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bone to the ground. Bone escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Bone clinches up against the cage.

Bone jumps guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kendell's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Bone is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Kendell slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Kendell pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Bone is keeping the position for now.
Bone is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Kris Kendell has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Kendell gets in close and tags Bone with a short punch that almost sends Bone to the mat! Oh Bone is in big trouble! He turns his back on Kendell, trying to create some distance but Kendell rushes him, striking wildly and Bone goes down! The referee tackles Kendell into the cage to end the fight! Kendell is one violent man!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kris Kendell!
