Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kovic uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Johnson.

Kovic scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Kovic is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Johnson has escaped the position, nice work there.
Johnson pushes Kovic away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kovic gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Kovic trying to control the action but Johnson is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kovic is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Johnson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kovic scores with a couple of short elbows.
Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kovic. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
You can see the frustration on Johnson's face as Kovic controls the position.

Kovic wants to control but Johnson is keeping him busy.
Johnson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Kovic is working to tighten his grip on Johnson's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Johnson has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Kovic is really squeezing tight and eventually Johnson passes out! Kovic breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
