Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Bentner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guy Pringle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bentner comes to the cage accompanied by My Dick. Pringle has chosen White Trash Party as his entrance music. Nick Bentner has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nick Bentner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Guy Pringle!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Bentner or perhaps it was just good defense by Pringle which made him look bad.
Bentner shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Pringle has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Pringle rushes Bentner and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Pringle jumps guard but Bentner turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Bentner has picked Pringle up - he's going for a ride! Bentner dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Bentner working over Pringle with some ground and pound. Pringle looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Pringle tries to get to full guard but Bentner has control of the leg.
Still in half guard, Bentner seems content to control.
Pringle taking some punishment here, with Bentner in his half guard.
Pringle has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bentner is working away from the top position though.
Bentner has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Bentner content to control rather than advance.
Pringle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bentner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bentner prevents Pringle from standing back up.

Pringle has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Bentner is working away from the top position though.
Bentner trying to control the pace.
Bentner uses his free foot to push down on Pringle's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Pringle.

Bentner looking for a guillotine from mount but Pringle is having none of it.
Bentner postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Pringle looks a forlorn figure.
Bentner scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Bentner landing strikes from the mount and Pringle is in trouble!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bentner content just to control the position here.

Bentner is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Pringle is surviving well by controlling Bentner's body position as best he can.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Nick Bentner!
A relieved looking Nick Bentner thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
