And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tony Tauno!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Donald Grub and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samani throws a lazy uppercut
and Tauno counters with a straight right hand.
No luck for Samani with that takedown attempt.
A chopping leg kick lands by Samani.
A jab lands there for Samani.
Samani looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Tauno uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Samani, right into the meat.
Tauno misses the shot to the body.
A jab from Tauno misses.
Tauno misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Donk. Samani catches Tauno right on the button with a cross.

It looks like Tony Tauno has been cut.
Tauno swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Tauno slips under a jab from Samani.
Samani cracks Tauno with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Samani dives in for a single leg takedown but Tauno sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Tauno has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Tauno misses with a hook from the clinch.
Samani makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Samani pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Samani lands a brutal head kick. Tauno looks out on his feet and Samani throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Rostam Samani!
Rostam Samani was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
