Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brian Redban (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brian Redban!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny White!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White's corner calls for a 1-2. White obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that White has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
White avoids the head kick by Redban.

Oooooh!!! Redban has knocked White down with a huge combo! Redban steps away and waves a wobbly White back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Redban keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Redban misses with the combination.
Redban swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Redban misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Redban uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by White.
Redban fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
White blocks a low kick nicely.
Redban misses with the combination.
Redban throws a series of punches but White moves out of range.

White moves into the clinch successfully.
Redban has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Redban manages to break the clinch.
White swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Redban moves to clinch but White breaks away

and White counters with a takedown into side control.

White is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Redban has escaped the position, nice work there.
Sloppy strikes there by White.
White trying to control the action but Redban is working from the bottom.
Redban takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

White has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Redban is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. White yanks on the arm and Redban is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by White.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Danny White!
Danny White is the new lightweight champion!
Danny White decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
