Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyrone Spong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cruz kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is CALIFORNIA LOVE by Tupac ft. Dr. Dre. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz ducks under a wild hook from Spong.
Spong takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Tyrone Spong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Spong pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Cruz back to the ropes. Spong follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Spong throws a right and a left that Cruz avoids nicely.
Cruz scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Cruz. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Spong goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Spong lands a left and a right that send Cruz crashing to the mat, dazed. Spong thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Cruz circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by Spong. Cruz falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for Spong!

After winning the bout, Tyrone Spong thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
