PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Oskar De La Hoya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dizzy Jigster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oskar De La Hoya had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 186.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dizzy Jigster!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Sam Margolis and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De La Hoya avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
De La Hoya shoots for a takedown but Jigster saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
We've been told by De La Hoya's head coaches at SWF GYM that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

De La Hoya has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

De La Hoya will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and De La Hoya takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jigster throws a sloppy head kick and De La Hoya moves out of range easily.
Jigster tries to close the distance and clinch up but De La Hoya swats him away and circles back towards the center.
De La Hoya shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jigster as he jumps to the side.
De La Hoya will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jigster keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Jigster seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but De La Hoya does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

De La Hoya rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jigster moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

De La Hoya throws a jab but it's blocked by Jigster.

Jigster has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from De La Hoya finds it's way round the side to connect with Jigster's head.

De La Hoya is looking to wear down Jigster with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
