Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ming Ling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ramirez has chosen Not Afraid-Eminem as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ming Ling!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brock Ramirez!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ramirez looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Ling!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Ramirez is looking to take a break and control but Ling is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Ling tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ramirez wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Ramirez lands an elbow.
Ling tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Ling tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Ramirez presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Ramirez has control of Ling's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Ling regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Ling is trying to escape the mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ling regains half guard.
Ling trying to control from the bottom.
Ling works his way to full guard. Good work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ramirez throws an elbow that misses. Ling uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ramirez's guard. Nice move by Ling!

Ling slips nicely into half guard.
Ling is thwarting Ramirez's attempts to control the position.
Ling looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Ling looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Ling is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ramirez wants to control but Ling is keeping busy.

Ling is working for a kimura but Ramirez is defending it quite comfortably.
Ling stops Ramirez from getting back to his feet.
Ramirez tries to roll over but Ling keeps him under control.
Ramirez is looking to escape.

Ling seems to be looking for submissions.

Ling is working for a submission of some sort.
Ling is looking to take a break and control but Ramirez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ling wants to work for an arm triangle but Ramirez is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Ling is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ling prevents Ramirez from standing back up.
Ramirez is staying active underneath Ling, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ming Ling dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Ramirez pushes Ling up against the cage in a clinch.

Ramirez's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ling misses with a head kick.

Ramirez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Ramirez is looking to take a break and control but Ling is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Ramirez lands a nice forearm strike.
Ling is trying to improve his position.
Ramirez tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Ling is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Ramirez wants to stand but Ling has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Ramirez lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Ling moves into full guard.

Ling has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ramirez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ling looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Ramirez is defending well. Ling quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Ramirez has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Ling celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
