The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conner scores with a hook.

Conner gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jeferson to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Conner working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Jeferson has passed into half guard!
Jeferson with the ground and pound but Conner uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Jeferson stands up over Conner, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Jeferson scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Conner really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Jeferson slips nicely into half guard.
Jeferson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Conner is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jeferson uses his free foot to push down on Conner's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Conner.
Oh Conner is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jeferson cracks Conner with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
