Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Layne Shepherd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Giorgi Krylov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Nice takedown defense from Shepherd. No joy for Krylov on that attempt.
Shepherd with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Shepherd has taken the fight to the clinch.

Shepherd manages to break the clinch.
Shepherd stuffs the takedown.
Krylov shoots in looking for a takedown but Shepherd manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Krylov's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Layne Shepherd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Giorgi Krylov.

Krylov drops down looking for an ankle pick but Shepherd pulls his leg out and moves away.
Krylov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shepherd's waist but Shepherd gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Krylov off to one side.

Shepherd lands a big head kick that sends Krylov tumbling to the mat! Shepherd takes a step backwards and waves Krylov back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Giorgi Krylov has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Krylov shoots for a double leg takedown but Shepherd sprawls well. He's pushed Krylov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Shepherd drives through and clinches with Krylov against the cage.

Shepherd breaks from the clinch.

Krylov shoots in for a takedown but Shepherd shows good takedown defense.

Shepherd takes the fight into the clinch.
Shepherd lands a nice elbow.

Shepherd pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Krylov shoots for a takedown but Shepherd saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Shepherd has closed the distance and engaged Krylov in a clinch.

Krylov dives in for a single leg takedown but Shepherd sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Krylov drops down looking for an ankle pick but Shepherd pulls his leg out and moves away.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Shepherd throws a head kick but Krylov moves out of range.

Shepherd escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A head kick from Shepherd lands but Krylov takes it in his stride.

Shepherd manages to break the clinch.
Shepherd keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Krylov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Krylov thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Shepherd knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Krylov on the ground.

Krylov drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Shepherd manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Krylov has Shepherd in his guard.
Krylov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Shepherd is one step ahead there.
Krylov not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Shepherd has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Krylov to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Shepherd is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Krylov pulls down on the head and he's put Shepherd to sleep! This one is all over!
