The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henderson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jenkins as he avoids it easily.
Jenkins gets caught flat footed, as Henderson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jenkins holds on and takes a little breather.
Henderson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jenkins working for a triangle but Henderson defends it easily.
Henderson trying to control the position from guard on top but Jenkins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Henderson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jenkins controls Henderson momentarily but Henderson frees himself.
Henderson gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Henderson shoots in for a takedown but Jenkins shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Jenkins throws a solid leg kick but Henderson takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Jenkins.
Jenkins throws a jab but it's blocked by Henderson.

Henderson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Jenkins is staying active underneath Henderson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Jenkins is pressing down on Henderson's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Jenkins had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Henderson defends it easily.
Jenkins tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Henderson is working for a submission of some sort.
Henderson is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Henderson stands up and beckons Jenkins to join him on the feet.
Jenkins will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jenkins on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Henderson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Jenkins. That did some damage!
Jenkins displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Henderson.

Jenkins throws a jab but it's blocked by Henderson.

Henderson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Henderson lands in his opponent's guard.
Henderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jenkins swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on Jenkins's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Henderson cracks Jenkins with a big right hand but Jenkins just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Henderson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Jenkins knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Henderson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jenkins is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
