PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ichabod Crane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sonne Engel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crane's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Broken Bones - Decapitated. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crane slips under a jab from Engel.

Crane feints and as Engel raises his hands in defense, Crane changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Engel pulls Crane in close to prevent any damage.
Crane slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Engel dodges the ground and pound from Crane.
Crane will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Crane misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Crane tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Crane lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Engel down.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Crane lands a big shot there that rocks Engel but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Crane postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Engel in real trouble here! The ref calls for Engel to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
