The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Patellar Luxation seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Luxation throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Sanchez throws a hook to the side of Luxation's head but Luxation sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Luxation throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Sanchez has managed to clinch.
Luxation lands with a short shot to the head.
Sanchez blocks a body shot from Luxation.
Sanchez pushes Luxation back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Luxation escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Luxation counters with a nice low kick that buckles Sanchez's knee momentarily.
Luxation scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Luxation is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Sanchez had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Sanchez throws a big shot that misses.
Sanchez is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Luxation lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Luxation has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Sanchez misses with a wild body shot.
Sanchez chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Luxation can pounce on him.

Luxation lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Sanchez is looking to wear down Luxation with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Luxation uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sanchez.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Luxation.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The crowd cheers as Luxation lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sanchez doesn't seem phased though.

Sanchez finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Luxation's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Sanchez falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
