The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Benjamin Jr misses the target.
Benjamin Jr shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Corrida eats them both and turns towards Benjamin Jr to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Corrida throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Corrida ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Benjamin Jr moves away.
Benjamin Jr tries to close the distance and clinch up but Corrida swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Corrida buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Benjamin Jr lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Corrida circles away quickly and effectively.
Corrida throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Benjamin Jr throws a jab when Corrida was well out of range.

It looks like Thomas Benjamin Jr has been cut.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Corrida lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Benjamin Jr has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Benjamin Jr and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
