The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goncalves on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Goncalves shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Yi's guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Goncalves takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Goncalves uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Yi connects with a leg kick. Goncalves looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Yi feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Goncalves's calf.
Yi cracks Goncalves with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Yi fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Goncalves.

Crunch! Yi slams his shin into Goncalves's torso.
Yi's corner calls for a 1-2. Yi obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
