Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sid Going (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bakayoko Maaluf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sid Going looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sid Going!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bakayoko Maaluf!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maaluf scores with the left hand. Going knows he should have avoided that one.
Maaluf rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Going moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Going drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Maaluf looking for a sweep. Not yet Maaluf, not yet.
Maaluf not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Maaluf is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Going controls from within his opponent's guard.
Maaluf controls Going momentarily but Going frees himself.
Going might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Going looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Maaluf is fending him off so far but Going persists. Nope, Maaluf circles away and we're back to standing.
Maaluf fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Going circles away from the clinch attempt.
Maaluf swats away the attempt to clinch by Going.
Going shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Maaluf but Maaluf pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Maaluf throws a nice outside leg kick.

and Going counters with a one-two to the body.
Going shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Maaluf pinned against the cage. Maaluf gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sid Going. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Maaluf stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Maaluf wants it to stay on the feet.
Going is breathing heavily.
Maaluf shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Going manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Maaluf accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Maaluf wants to pass the guard but Going is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Bakayoko Maaluf was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Maaluf closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Maaluf lands in his opponent's guard.

Going looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Maaluf wanted to stand there but Going had control of the position.
Going keeping moving, preventing Maaluf from controlling successfully.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Maaluf throws a big elbow that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bakayoko Maaluf dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Maaluf tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Maaluf breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Going wants to clinch.
Maaluf looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Horrible takedown by Maaluf or perhaps it was just good defense by Going which made him look bad.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Going won't allow Maaluf to sweep him here.
Going sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Maaluf's guard.
Going is looking for a kimura but Maaluf is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Going to get the leverage.
Maaluf wants to get back to full guard but Going has mounted him!
Sid Going overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Maaluf is in all sorts of trouble here.
Going tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Going pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Maaluf sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Going is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Going seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Maaluf for as long as he can get away with.
Going moves nicely into side control.
You can see the frustration on Maaluf's face as Going controls the position.

Maaluf tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Going is looking to take a break and control but Maaluf is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Going is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Maaluf is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Sid Going showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Maaluf has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
