Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kazuya Takeshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinji Tainaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tainaka comes into a darkened arena with his song building. BATTLE FUNKASTIC kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kazuya Takeshi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shinji Tainaka!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takeshi misses with a double jab.
Takeshi throws the left hand but Tainaka avoids the punch easily.

Takeshi has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Tainaka finds it's way round the side to connect with Takeshi's head.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Takeshi is looking to sweep but instead, Tainaka has passed into half guard.
Tainaka winds up and cracks Takeshi with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Takeshi had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Tainaka is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Takeshi Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Tainaka's back instead.

Shinji Tainaka showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Despite being in the dominant position, Shinji Tainaka just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Let's hope that Tainaka has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Shinji Tainaka comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Tainaka has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
