Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Henry Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergiy Sklyar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morgan's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, No Easy Way Out. Sklyar is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Scarface - No Tears. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Henry Morgan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Sergiy Sklyar!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sklyar swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Henry Morgan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Sklyar throws a body punch but Morgan moves out of range.
Morgan lands with a nice combination. Sklyar backs away looking to recover.
Morgan scores with a punch to the head.
Sklyar feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Morgans jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Morgan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Morgan wants it to stay on the feet.
Morgan throws out a loose jab but Sklyar uses good head movement to avoid it.
Morgan has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Sydney Elite Systems in the buildup to the fight.
A clash of legs there as Morgan blocks the low kick.
Morgan looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Morgan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sklyar fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Morgan avoids it really well and circles away.

Morgan lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Morgan misses with a wild combination.

Sklyar shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Sklyar was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Sklyar is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Sklyar thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Morgan's head.
Sklyar is trying to control. Morgan wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Morgan is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sklyar's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sklyar's back!

Morgan has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Sklyar has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Morgan throws a series of strikes and Sklyar wriggles onto his back, so he's now mounted. He's in real trouble here.
Morgan throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Sklyar because Morgan loaded up on that one.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Sklyar fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Morgan throws a nice looking combination but Sklyar bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Sklyar is working for takedown but Morgan is calmly controlling the position for now.

Morgan lands a right hand that snaps the head of Sklyar backwards.

Sklyar has picked Morgan up - he's going for a ride! Sklyar dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Morgan wants to sweep here but Sklyar controlling him for the moment.

A big strike lands for Sklyar! That's really hurt Morgan and he's turned his back - Sklyar keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Sklyar jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sergiy Sklyar!
An out of breath Sergiy Sklyar thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
