PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raul Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sin Sin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez comes into the arena with La Raza blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sin.
Sanchez tries to bum rush Sin with a series of wild strikes but Sin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sin dives in and grabs Sanchez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sanchez pushes down on Sin's head and hops out.
Sanchez has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sanchez there as he acknowledges the shot.
Sin lands a head kick. Sanchez smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

No joy there for Sanchez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Sanchez throws a right hand that Sin ducks under and follows up with a left that Sin also avoids with ease.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Sin Sin hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Sin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Sin throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Sanchez was covering up waiting for the punch and Sin finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Sanchez manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Sanchez wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Sin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Sin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sanchez throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Sanchez throws a nice looking combination but Sin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Sanchez throws a right and a left that both miss.
Sin tries to close the distance and clinch but Sanchez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sin stands up and waves to Sanchez to follow him.
Raul Sanchez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sin throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Sanchez stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Sanchez takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Sanchez defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sin.
Nice takedown defense from Sanchez. No joy for Sin on that attempt.
