Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fred Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sasha Petrova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Face in the Sand. Fred Jones could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Sasha Petrova's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Petrova tries to sprawl but Jones drives through with a takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Jones goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Petrova rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Jones's guard! Nice work there by Petrova!

Petrova gets to his feet. Jones looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Petrova throws a series of punches but Jones avoids them all with ease.
Petrova throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jones on the side of the head.

Jones is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Petrova pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Jones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Petrova manages to avoid it.
Petrova uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jones.

No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jones tries to score a power double leg takedown but Petrova sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jones somewhat.
Jones misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jones is defended easily by Petrova.
Jones seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Sasha Petrova seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jones is trying hard to land a takedown here. Petrova sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Jones fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Petrova avoids it really well and circles away.

Petrova dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Jones. That did some damage!

and Petrova counters with a crisp one two that drops Jones! Petrova thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Jones to his feet! Jones is in big trouble!

Petrova sends Jones crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Petrova is motioning to the referee to let Jones up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Petrova looks to land a combination but Jones avoids it well.

Jones drops his hands momentarily. Petrova doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Jones staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Jones doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
