Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Emmitt Morrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roderick Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Emmitt Morrison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roderick Stone!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Alyssa Summers and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stone shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
It looks like Stone is going to stand back up.
Stone is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Stone trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Morrison manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Stone trying to control the position.

Stone is looking for a triangle but Morrison pushes his legs off easily.

Morrison is looking to stand up but Stone won't let him.

Stone looking for a guillotine here but Morrison defends easily.

Morrison controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Stone isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Morrison stacks Stone on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Morrison!

Morrison wants to stand but Stone is controlling his arm.

You can see the frustration on Stone's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Stone tries to bench press Morrison off him but Morrison keeps the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Morrison stands up and we're back to a striking position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Stone misses with a takedown attempt

and Morrison counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Morrison.

Stone is looking to break free of the clinch but Morrison has double underhooks.
A bit of stalling here from Morrison.

Morrison ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Morrison no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Morrison is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Morrison is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Emmitt Morrison just wasn't active enough.

Stone closes this distance looking for a takedown but Morrison circles away.

and Morrison counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Morrison.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Stone looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Morrison is fending him off so far but Stone persists. Nope, Morrison circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stone tries to close the distance and clinch but Morrison swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Stone shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Stone showed some decent athleticism there.
Morrison wants to control but Stone is keeping busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stone is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Morrison wants to get back to full guard.

Morrison manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Stone moves out of range of the body kick.
Stone fails with the takedown

so Morrison counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Stone is breathing heavily.

Morrison throws a front kick aimed at Stone's knee but Stone avoids it well.
Stone looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Morrison is fending him off so far but Stone persists. Nope, Morrison circles away and we're back to standing.
Morrison really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Morrison pushes Stone off and gets back to his feet.
Stone takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Stone moves in looking to clinch but Morrison pushes him off.

and Morrison moves into the clinch.

Morrison pulls guard successfully.

Morrison pulls Stone in close to his closed guard and prevents Stone from doing any damage or advancing position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Stone trying to control the position from guard on top but Morrison is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Stone tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Morrison manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Stone gets control of Morrison's arms and successfully pulls guard. Stone will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Stone flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Emmitt Morrison showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Morrison, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
