The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Burishkov clinches up against the cage.
Howell fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Burishkov breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Howell throws a right hand that Burishkov ducks under and follows up with a left that Burishkov also avoids with ease.
Howell throws a poor cross that misses
and Burishkov counters with a nice uppercut.
Burishkov slips under a jab.
Burishkov connects with a crisp jab.
Howell connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Howell misses with a straight left.
Howell throws the left hand but Burishkov avoids the punch easily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Burishkov.
Howell throws a hook but Burishkov blocks it.
Burishkov shoots in but no luck this time.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Howell misses with a straight left.
Howell stalks Burishkov and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Burishkov's face. Burishkov staggers backwards, shaken.
Burishkov needs to keep his hands up - Howell had a free shot at his head there.
Burishkov connects with a jab.
Howell has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Jason Howell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Howell uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Burishkov.
Howell uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Burishkov has time to react.

Howell is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Howell slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Howell digs a good body shot into Burishkov's ribs.
Burishkov throws a series of punches but Howell moves out of range.
Howell paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Burishkov lands a jab.

Howell cracks Burishkov with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Burishkov looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Howell finish him?

Burishkov is rocked!
Howell throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Howell throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Howell moves away from the strike by Burishkov.
Burishkov takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Jason Howell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Howell wants to clinch.
Burishkov takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Burishkov rushes Howell and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Burishkov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Burishkov scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Burishkov dives in and grabs Howell's left leg, looking for a takedown. Howell pushes down on Burishkov's head and hops out.
Jason Howell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Viktor Burishkov.
A telegraphed right hand from Burishkov misses the target.
Howell loads up on a big right hand but Burishkov slips the punch.

Howell lands a left and a right that send Burishkov crashing to the mat, dazed. Howell thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Burishkov is still on wobbly legs! Can Howell finish him?

It looks like Viktor Burishkov has been cut.

Burishkov moves into the clinch.
Howell lands a left hand.
Burishkov is trying to break the clinch but Howell is controlling him.

Howell's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Howell throws a shot to the body.
Howell misses with a hook. Burishkov ducked under it nicely.
Howell throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Burishkov throws a low kick but Howell moves out of range easily.
Burishkov seems to have recovered his senses.

Howell lands a big right hand that sends Burishkov crashing to the mat! Howell stays standing though and waves Burishkov back to his feet!
Burishkov switches off momentarily and Howell cracks him with a monster right hand! Burishkov topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Howell dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Howell!
