Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adrian Peterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Rivers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Peterson comes to the cage accompanied by Immigrant Song - Led Zeppelin. Joe Rivers has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Columbo Gatti and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivers doesn't manage to clinch there - Peterson circles away.
Rivers swings for the body but Peterson moves out of range.
Peterson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Rivers shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Peterson as he avoids it easily.
Rivers wants to clinch.
Rivers throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Rivers lands a two punch combo.
It looks like Adrian Peterson has been cut.
Peterson misses with the combination.
Rivers works the jab nicely.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Peterson checks a leg kick.

Rivers throws a right hand that Peterson ducks under and follows up with a left that Peterson also avoids with ease.
Rivers swings for the body but Peterson moves out of range.

Rivers scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Peterson throws the left hand but Rivers avoids the punch easily.

Rivers is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Peterson rather than just go for the knockout.
Peterson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Some wild striking there from Peterson.
Rivers changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Peterson tries to avoid it but Rivers manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Peterson to the ground. Peterson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Rivers fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Peterson closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
No joy there for Peterson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Peterson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Rivers lands a big uppercut and Peterson crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Peterson looks OK. Rivers waves Peterson back to his feet!

Rivers knocks out Peterson with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Rivers before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Rivers picks up the big W with a huge KO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Joe Rivers!
Our winner, Joe Rivers, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
