The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Bowens. Those never looked like landing.
Bowens closes the distance and clinches up with Po, looking for a takedown. Bowens pushes Po against the cage but Po circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bowens connects with a single shot there.
Bowens looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Bowens shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Po as he jumps to the side.
Po Po has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kendrick Bowens.

Bowens closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Po quickly recovers to half guard.
Po wants to improve his position but Bowens is controlling well.
The fighters are battling for position here. Po manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kendrick Bowens hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
