Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Weidman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samers Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Weidman comes to the cage accompanied by The Prayer-Jonathan and Charlotte. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weidman throws a body punch but Lee moves out of range.
Weidman looks to clinch

and Lee counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Lee decides to return to a standing position.
Lee misses with an uppercut.
Weidman lands a jab-cross combination.
Chris Weidman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lee tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Weidman swivels and escapes.
Weidman misses with a two punch combination.
Weidman throws a nice looking combination but Lee bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Lee rushes Weidman and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Weidman pushes Lee back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Lee keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Weidman's efforts to push away.
A frustrated look appears on Weidman's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Lee has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Weidman after a bit of a struggle.
Weidman is trying to force a seperation but Lee has the dominant position.

Weidman breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Weidman looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Weidman throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lee stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A combination from Lee does no damage.
A head kick misses from Lee.

Weidman rushes Lee and presses him up against the cage.

Lee jumps into guard, dragging Weidman to the mat.
Weidman throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Weidman tries to stand but Lee is controlling from the bottom.

Weidman is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Weidman throws an elbow that misses. Lee uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Weidman's guard. Nice move by Lee!

Lee passes the guard and advances to mount!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lee lands a big shot there that rocks Weidman but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Lee takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Weidman is wriggling around trying to escape.

Weidman wants to hold on but Lee pushes him away.

Lee has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Weidman tries to roll but Lee sticks to his back.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lee is working for a rear naked choke. Weidman is not defending it well and Lee has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Weidman refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Weidman's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
