Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between BJ Penncil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timo Kahuna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, BJ Penncil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Timo Kahuna!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Santiago Holmes and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kahuna lands a nice shot that snaps Penncil's head back.
Penncil darts in looking for a takedown but Kahuna gets double underhooks and turns Penncil into the cage.

Kahuna's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Penncil drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Penncil closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kahuna circles away.
A shot to the liver by Kahuna. Beautiful body shot.
Penncil tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kahuna manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Penncil on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Kahuna lands with an uppercut that bounces Penncil off the cage and back into range.
Penncil takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Penncil drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kahuna tests Penncil's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Kahuna connects with a single shot there.
BJ Penncil seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kahuna lands with an overhand left.
Penncil takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Kahuna throws a hook but Penncil blocks it.
Kahuna looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kahuna moves into range and connects with a jab.
Kahuna is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Penncil had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Penncil moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Kahuna feints a jab promting Penncil to slip. Kahuna then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Penncil slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Penncil takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kahuna scores with a nice head shot.
Penncil walks into a jab.
The crowd cheers as Kahuna lands an impressive looking overhand right. Penncil doesn't seem phased though.
Penncil throws a push kick but Kahuna slaps the foot to one side.
Penncil shoots in looking for a takedown but Kahuna manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Penncil's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for BJ Penncil. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Penncil is breathing heavily.
Kahuna moves into range and connects with a jab.

Penncil changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kahuna looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Kahuna pushes Penncil away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Penncil gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Penncil is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kahuna has escaped the position, nice work there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kahuna is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Penncil asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Penncil tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Penncil has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Penncil wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kahuna, who protects the arm well.

Kahuna is trying to get back to his feet.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kahuna can do anything to dispel that myth.

Penncil has hold of Kahuna's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Kahuna seems comfortable defending it but Penncil has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Kahuna is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Kahuna is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Penncil couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). BJ Penncil!
