The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dawson scores with a nice strike.
Iliadis is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Dawson - that will leave a mark!
Dawson tries to score with a low kick but Iliadis moves his leg out of the way.
Iliadis closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Iliadis lands in his opponent's guard.
Iliadis slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Dawson wants to improve his position but instead Iliadis has moved into half guard.

Dawson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Iliadis on the ground.
