Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ethan Miles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Migashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Joe Migashi was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ethan Miles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joe Migashi!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miles fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Miles takes a head kick and keeps coming.


It looks like Ethan Miles has been cut.
Migashi tries to clinch up.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Miles.
Miles passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Migashi!

Miles gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Miles shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Migashi's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Miles is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Miles slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Miles tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Miles has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Migashi struggling a bit here.
Migashi looks to move to half guard but instead Miles has passed into mount! Damn!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Miles looking to control but Migashi is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Miles looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Miles tries to control but Migashi wriggling away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Miles prevents Migashi from getting the reversal.

Miles is working for a guillotine from mount but Migashi frees his head quite easily.

Miles looking for a guillotine from mount but Migashi is having none of it.
Miles is breathing heavily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Miles trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Migashi is trying to reverse the position but instead Miles has taken his back - oops!
Miles has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Migashi's body.
Migashi takes a big shot to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ethan Miles dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Ethan Miles's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.


Miles throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Migashi's waist but Migashi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Miles off to one side.
Migashi avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Miles tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Migashi counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Migashi.
Migashi using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

Miles has picked Migashi up - he's going for a ride! Miles dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Migashi is trying to maintain the position but Miles is very close to passing his half guard.
Migashi keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Miles has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Migashi defend it? Miles steps over the head and cranks it - Migashi is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Miles!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ethan Miles!
