The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daugavins uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Penn has time to react.
Penn throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Daugavins.

Penn rushes Daugavins and presses him up against the cage.

Daugavins drops Penn with a straight right hand, right on the button! Daugavins follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

After the fight, Kaspars Daugavins was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
