Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Felix Cardosa!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santiago tries to clinch up.
Santiago fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cardosa manages to avoid it.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Santiago tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Santiago dips to his left and cracks Cardosa with an uppercut!
Cardosa feints and then cracks Santiago's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Santiago down.
Cardosa throws out a powerful jab.
Santiago tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Cardosa manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Cardosa fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Santiago.
Santiago slaps away a takedown attempt from Cardosa, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Santiago on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Daniel Santiago seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Santiago takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Cardosa connects with a high kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cardosa takes one on the button.
Santiago takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Santiago moves away from the strike by Cardosa.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Santiago checks a leg kick.
Santiago misses with a wild body shot.
A jab from Cardosa does it's job there.
Oh Santiago is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Cardosa bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Santiago seems a little lost for a moment, as Cardosa dominates the positioning.

Cardosa is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Santiago is trying to escape and Cardosa transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Santiago is forced to tap! Nice work there by Cardosa! Very nice indeed!
