PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fabian Kang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Puka Kahn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Fabian Kang!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Puka Kahn!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Kahn looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Puka Kahn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kang fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Kahn tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kang shoots in and drives through. Kahn sprawls well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Kang tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kang has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Kahn tries to buck Kang off but Kang is having none of it.

Kahn is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kang off and has taken his back!

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kang tries to escape but Kahn has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

Kahn looking to break Kang's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Kang remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Kahn will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Kang is desperately trying to improve his position but Kahn has a good base and remains in mount.

Kahn has hold of Kang's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Kang manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That's time! Kang's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Kang shoots in and drives through. Kahn sprawls well.
Kang tries to clinch up but Kahn circles away and keeps his distance.
Horrible takedown by Kang or perhaps it was just good defense by Kahn which made him look bad.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
